Happy first Friday of the year!
Do you ever go through a routine of wanting the same thing over and over again, no matter the time of day? I go through these in phases and it’s totally normal!
Want to know what I’m currently obsessed with?
1. Super Flaky Croissant Toast
Yeah, that’s right—croissant toast. Think of a croissant in a giant loaf. Yeah…dreamy right?! I came across this when I was hungry doing grocery shopping through Amazon Prime Now for Whole Foods in the middle of the night. Saw it and just had to have it. There was absolutely no hesitation and you know what? It was the best decision ever. I live in downtown LA so this was actually fulfilled by the local Whole Foods. I’ve been having a slice (or two) toasted every morning with breakfast and it’s a total game changer. You have to toast it. It is so good! Go get it ASAP!
2. The Cole Sager Scramble
Cole Sager is a CrossFit Games athlete. If you didn’t already know, I’ve been doing CrossFit for 2 1/2 years now and love every minute of it. I’ve tried various workouts prior to joining CrossFit and I just could never stay consistent. I didn’t want to. It was boring. I’ve been a member of 24 Hour Fitness, LA Fitness, Gold’s Gym and other online programs and nothing clicked.
We can talk more about CrossFit later, but first, food. This scramble is phenomenal and is jam-packed with vegetables!
I didn’t measure out my ingredients as they do in the video—I just eyeballed everything to make it enough for two people. You can find the recipe on their YouTube Channel!
I subbed the ground beef for Jimmy Dean’s Pork Sausage Crumbles and added bacon along with a slice of the croissant toast.
3. Chocolate Ice Cream w/ Chocolate Syrup
Simple enough right? You can never have too much chocolate.
My go-to and absolute favorite ice cream is the Alden’s Organic Chocolate Chocolate Chip. I’ll usually serve this with strawberries, but lately I’ve just served it with chocolate syrup!
An alternative when I ran out of said ice cream above was the Trader Joe’s Ultra Chocolate Ice Cream.
I serve this with the Hershey’s Sundae Dream Double Chocolate Syrup. It’s the best! It’s also gluten free, by the way. It doesn’t state it on the bottle, but you can visit their website for a list of their gluten free products.
4. Ritz Peanut Butter Crackers
I truly grew up on these crackers. I never cared for the cheese crackers, peanut butter crackers had my heart.
It’s seriously the best combination. I’ve tried many different brands of peanut butter crackers and none come close to Ritz’s brand!
5. Unreal Dark Chocolate Coconut Bars
This bag here is from Costco—they recently expanded to SoCal Costcos!
The mini bars are perfect to satisfy your sweet tooth! But if you don’t like coconut, then obviously, this isn’t for you. It’s a healthier version of Almond Joys.
You can also find these at Whole Foods and Sprouts. Thrive Market also carries them too!
There you have it! My current five obsessions! I’d honest consider these a regular obsession, but I do sometimes rotate them out!
Hope you get to try them out! Let me know what you think in the comments below!
