#BlackLivesMatter

I am at a complete loss for words about what’s going on in our country and in the rest of the world. The past is supposed to be a building block for the future. We cannot unsee what’s already been done, but we can control what we do in the future.

Heartbreak. This pretty much sums up my feelings over the past week. All the violence, all the brutality just breaks my heart.

Be a kind human being. Be the voice of change. Be compassionate. Be responsible. Don’t ignore what’s going on in the rest of the world. Don’t be afraid of something because you are not educated about it. Research it. Absorb it. Talk about it. Let your voice be heard. Your voice is a powerful thing…so use it.

This weekend I watched the city I’ve grown to love (and also grew up in) fall into pieces. The majority of protestors have been peaceful and responsible, yet their voices are being overshadowed by those exerting their frustration into violence. There has to be another way. There needs to be another way. Black lives matter. You matter.

XOXO,
Karmen

I dabble in many things from crafting to cooking to CrossFit to traveling (because of work). I’ve created this space to share with you my experiences and current/past projects. I hope you find inspiration in what I share (or just make fun of it on your time, but do keep your mean comments to yourself)!
