Thoughtful Thursday: Happy Easter

20130228-210601.jpg

Welcome to Thoughtful Thursdays! Stay tuned for a new card each week. Requests are welcomed!

Here’s an Easter card for this week. Using Hero Arts’ Polka Dot Background stamp and some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Wild Honey, Peeled Paint, and Evergreen Bough, I decided to go with a gradient look. After stamping it initially on white card stock, it seemed a little plain. So I took out some Ink Blending Foam and started blending the coordinating ink.

I then inked up a strip of card stock in Wild Honey and stamped the sentiment in VersaMark followed by some Martha Stewart White Embossing Powder.

I wanted to pull in some of the inked colors so I cut up strips of inked Evergreen Bough card stock and tied on some green twine.

Hope you will enjoy this series! It’ll be my first me so I’m super excited! Spread the word!
